Group Blog

    


 For the my next production in my study of media I have decided to return to my group from my project. I believe that working with the same group as the previous project is the most beneficial choice because it allows me to work with a group that I have created chemistry with. Working with the same group also slightly eases my tension as I don't have to worry about the unexpected twists and turns that arise when working with a new group. These reasons along with a general sense of trust with my groupmates have greatly contributed to my selection of groupmates.

    The first and my most elder member of the group is Felipe Lopez a close friend of mine with similar upbringings. I have decided to continue my workings with Felipe Lopez because he has always been punctual when setting up dates of filming's and also supplied group members and actors with props when necessary.  Felipe also provides the group with an amazing location to film with Felipe's apartment containing a pool area, gym, stair well, long hallways, an elevator, and balcony. These amenities make Felipe's place of living a great location for filming regardless of the task. Felipe also presents many essential ideas to the group regardless of there unpopularity. This lack of fear when presenting unpopular ideas is a great addition to any group because it always forces a group to look deeply into the choices being made. These factors make Felipe an incredible groupmate that makes our group much more successful.

    Dartamian Dolorean is the other group member that I will be cooperating with on this assignment. Dartamian was a new addition to the group in the last project created however his contribution has been undeniable. Ever since beginning my work with Dartamian he has put his full effort into creating the best film possible and fulfilling the vision created in the planning stage. He has done this by always offering  to help in times of need and challenging ideas to keep us on the right track. His influence on the final product has also been incredible as the eye he has for making small touches in the final product has helped our quality control and understanding of film improve greatly. Dartamian also has helped our group improve in the editing process and has made our final product appear much more professional. Working with Dartamian has been great and his output has helped my understanding of film improve greatly. 

    As my production of my next product gets closer I believe that this selection of group mates will increase the quality of my final product greatly. This is through each of my groupmates desire to succeed and will to create the best product possible.

  How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? This opening sequence had thirteen title screens. The first title was the name of the production company, which was then followed by the two produces of the film. After this the film lists the name of then director, then the sequence lists the two star actors of the film. Time and Order

      Today I began the process of determining which shots will be included in the final product and what order they would fit into the puzzle of creating a film. I decided to edit this project on the movie because I felt that using familiar software would allow me to curate the best film I could while I gain a better understanding of the more technical programs for my future projects. I also decided to choose this program because it would let my group easily import the takes we recorded due to the transferability between all of our recording devices. I began this process by ordering the takes based on their desired chronological order and working from there.      Once I compiled the clips in this fashion I started to examine the clips and remove those that clearly were not usable in the final product. Production Blog: Corrections

           After a successful day of filming my groupmates and I began to review the footage we filmed the day prior. This process took us around thirty minutes as we shuffled through all of our footage and finally decided upon which footage we would use in the editing process. After this I finalized the order of the our music video and which scenes should be included. Overall this was not very difficult as only a few scenes being where removed.     However, this process revealed a major flaw in our production process which was two improperly shot scenes. These missing scenes where located in the section of the music video where the friend of the main character was knocked unconscious. At first this issue seemed minor however, as I continued to re-watch the video I realized it did not meet the expected standards.
